Notes on application form to become a Volunteer with East Staffordshire CAB

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer.
Please read these notes BEFORE completing the enclosed application form

What we want from our volunteers

Impartiality: Whatever your views are, you will need to work with/for clients with all kinds of problems. You will need to be able to give an equally good service to everyone.
Equal opportunities: All volunteers are expected to carry out the CAB’s policy of equal opportunities (as attached). This means actively opposing all forms of discrimination and ensuring that the service is equally available to all people.
Confidentiality: Everything that you see and hear in the bureau is private. Every volunteer must sign an agreement to observe a strict rule of confidentiality before they start volunteering.
A commitment to training: A willingness to learn and develop is central to being an effective volunteer.

Questions 6 - 9: Please be as descriptive as possible, and continue on a further sheet if needed.
Question 10: We offer a flexible approach at the bureau and any time that you can offer will be considered.
Question 11: Please use this opportunity to describe any other relevant life / work experience that you feel may be beneficial to the role / bureau.
Question 12: Please ensure that you give two separate, unrelated referees.
